Design Phase

How DevNest approaches the design phase of every project.

Design Phase

After discovery, we move into design. This phase ends when you've approved high-fidelity designs for every screen, before we write a single line of production code.

What we design

  • Information architecture and user flows
  • Wireframes (low-fidelity, fast iteration)
  • Design system foundations (tokens, typography, color)
  • High-fidelity Figma screens
  • Interactive prototypes for key flows

How feedback works

We share work in Figma with comment mode enabled. You can leave feedback directly on specific elements. We hold one sync per week to resolve higher-level questions.

Design rounds are timeboxed: two rounds of revisions per milestone, then we move to the next.

When design is done

Design is done when:

  • All screens are approved at high fidelity
  • Edge cases are accounted for
  • Animation and interaction notes are documented
  • Engineering has reviewed for feasibility
